Information You Choose to Send
Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. Its privacy terms govern the query once it is submitted. Dallas County Recent Arrests does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages Sent to the Site
If you email us or submit a contact message, we retain the details needed to read and answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Government and Third-Party Websites
Dallas County Recent Arrests links to the Sheriff’s roster and reports, city police sources, Iowa Courts Online, IowaVINE, the Iowa Department of Corrections, federal custody locators, public-record portals, news archives, and third-party search services. After a visitor follows a link, the destination’s own privacy policy and data practices apply. This notice does not control those outside systems.
Advertising providers may use cookies or related technology on their own networks to understand activity across websites and select interest-based ads. Any such cross-site tracking occurs through the provider’s systems, not a record database maintained by this site.

- Search partners that receive and process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and site performance

Reasonable Security Measures
We use customary safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of information under our control. No website, network, transmission method, or storage system connected to the internet can be guaranteed fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach or other security failure will never occur.
